If Body, Mind, & Soul really do play a core role in quantum physics, then we would have a solid foundation for developing a true science of meta-physics. This would allow us to take a quantum leap in our ability to describe the human condition. Could this be the start of a universal meta-language that could bridge the subtle nuances between foreign languages and cultures? Would the very nature of language and communication be revolutionized? Would the human species fundamentally change? One of my pet peeves is the lack of "reality" that civilization has brought us. I see the most contorted and confusing concepts passed off as religious doctrine. I see belief systems that are designed to keep people from discovering and experiencing their own connection to the Divine. I see whole cultures essentially at war with their own spirituality, and in total denial of any dependence on a natural environment or way of life. I see the greed-driven powers-that-be distorting language with impunity and reducing sacred concepts like freedom and democracy to meaningless platitudes. I hope that somehow through a better understanding of how we function as human beings, that we can truly get to know ourselves, and develop life affirming personal values that reflect our potential depth. In one of the most dramatic periods that civilization has ever faced, where the fate of the species and the ecosystem is being threatened on so many fronts, I find it mind boggling that the American imagination is more captivated by spectator sports and Hollywood escapist fantasies. We might as well be living in the days of the most decadent period of the Roman Empire. Never have so many people been so foolishly locked onto outdated and unhealthy archetypes at a time when every one of us needs to be facing and addressing the real challenges in the world. Nothing less than a total re-invention of our culture is what it will take to turn things around and give the species a chance to bring ourselves back to the garden. What we need now are new archetypes, new visions of how we can function as life-affirming partners within a more natural system. I'm developing this website with the hope it will help define a new language of meta-physics. Right now, let's take a look at some of the basic building blocks used to describe physical reality. We'll then try to create our unified framework from these pieces. So let's leave our preconceptions at the door, and open ourselves up to our child-like sense of wonder and curiosity. |
